Richard Thewlis - Wildlife Artist
Welcome to my website, which I have just updated. I present a selection of finished paintings and as well as field sketches that give a flavour of my time spent in the field. Painting and drawing for me is a spare time interest; I work full time as a Research Ecologist at the British Trust for Ornithology. This past year has been very hectic with a lot of fieldwork in the Spring and Summer seasons, and work in the office the rest of the time. Last autumn I finally made a long-hoped for trip to Nepal. I will be posting up some work relating to this trip in a short while.
